What to Expect

Granary Wharf Cafe: Relax at the Granary’s waterside terrace and enjoy beverages and snacks available for purchase all weekend. All proceeds benefit the preservation of the historic Door County Granary. Menu: Coffee, lemonade, beer, wine, ice cream, Uncle Mike’s Kringle, and more!

 

Puppet Show: Local puppeteer, Nancy Hawkins, performs two shows telling folktales inside the historic Granary.

 

Guest speaker: Join the Door County Maritime Museum’s Classic & Wooden Boat Show guest speaker, Dennis Evinrude, grand nephew of Evinrude Outboard Motor Company founders Ole and Bess Evinrude. Evinrude’s presentation will provide a special inside look at a family and business that made Wisconsin the recreational boating capital of the nation.

 

Peninsula Symphonic Band: Local community ensemble the Peninsula Symphonic Band will perform concert band classics, patriotic selections and popular favorites outside at the Granary. The Peninsula Symphonic Band is composed of nearly 75 musicians, rehearses in Sturgeon Bay and welcomes new members year-round.

Door County Granary Living History Museum: Free admission to the historic Door County Granary Living History Museum throughout the weekend. Tour the 1901 Teweles and Brandeis Grain Elevator, an American invention and one of the last wooden grain elevators left on the Great Lakes, has stood as an agricultural landmark on Sturgeon Bay’s working waterfront for 125 years. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Granary tells the stories of Door County’s agricultural heritage, Great Lakes and Ahnapee & Western Railway shipping, and the American dream.
